Shop front glass and aluminium shopfronts in Makkah

Shop front glass is only one part of a shopfront: a complete front combines cladding, a glass display front, a frameless glass door and a sign, often with glass partitions inside. Start with whatever you have, whether photos of the space, an early design or rough measurements.

Start with what you have now

If you have a design or early drawing: send it so we can define the shopfront, the internal partitions and the glazed areas.

If you have photos or rough measurements: send clear photos of the front or the interior with any measurements; they need not be final.

If the shop or office is already built: say whether you need changes to an existing front or a complete fit-out, and we will review each part with you.

What makes up a shopfront besides the shop front glass?

A shopfront usually combines four elements: cladding on the solid parts and around the sign, the glass display front, the entrance door and the sign itself. That display front, also called storefront glazing or a glass frontage, is built either in aluminium storefront framing or as continuous frameless glass. Each has its own pricing logic, and when two quotes for the same shop differ widely, it is usually because each silently included different elements in its scope.

Shopfront elements and what sets the price of each
ElementWhat it isWhat sets its priceDecided before pricing
CladdingSkin for the solid parts and the sign surroundPanel type and finish, sub-frame, cuts and edgesWhere the cladding stops at the opening
Glass display frontThe clear glass part for displayGlass type and thickness, panel size and number of piecesAluminium-framed or continuous frameless glass
Frameless glass doorThe glass entranceGlass thickness, hardware and fixingOperation and opening direction
SignCarries the shop name above the frontIts area and fixing to the claddingWho builds it, as it most often falls outside the scope
Entrance canopyOptional: cladding or aluminium slats over the entrance on an independent metal frameArea, projection and fixingFall, drainage and cladding limits

So the first step on any shopfront is to define each element and where it meets the next, not to ask for a price per metre. Cladding colour is matched to the brand from the start, with special colours from SAR 250/m², and the front may need approval from the authority or the mall management, which we confirm before fabrication. See aluminium cladding for panel options, and glass facade systems compared if you are weighing glass against cladding.

Shopfronts by business: restaurants, pharmacies, showrooms and fuel stations

Restaurants and pharmacies need a glass front that shows the interior and a clear sign over the entrance; showrooms need wider display glass; fuel stations need cladding for the canopy and the service building. Whether you call it an aluminium shop front or an aluminum storefront, the cladding covers the solid parts and the sign surround, from SAR 180/m² supplied and installed, before VAT.

Which entrance door suits a shop or storefront: aluminium or all-glass?

Most shop entrances use one of two types: a frameless storefront door in 19 mm tempered (toughened) glass, hinged from SAR 450/m² or automatic sliding from SAR 3,780/m²; or an aluminium door with glass, Royal sliding from SAR 540/m² or hinged with an aluminium frame from SAR 585/m², supplied and installed, before VAT. Opening direction, lock and hardware are fixed before fabrication, because changing them later means altering the door itself. Aluminium shop doors and storefront framing come in the same powder-coated profile colours and finishes as our aluminium windows. An aluminium entrance door can also take a fixed glazed sidelight beside it, priced in the quote.

What is store front glazing?

Store front glazing is the glass display front of a shop at street level, with the entrance door set into it. It is built in one of two ways: glass held in aluminium storefront framing, or toughened glass panels with no visible profiles.

Frameless glass shopfrontToughened glass panels with no visible profilesFrameless glass door, 19 mm: hinged from SAR 450/m², automatic sliding from 3,780Panel sizes and hole positions, as toughened glass cannot be cut later

Framing suits fronts that need opening windows or a set profile colour; frameless glass suits a clear, open display. Either way, glass type and thickness are fixed with the panel sizes; see tempered glass.

Should a tempered glass shop front be aluminium-framed or a frameless shopfront?

Either, since both are tempered: the display glass in an aluminium-framed front and in a frameless shopfront is toughened safety glass, stronger than ordinary glass, and it breaks into small granules instead of sharp shards. So the choice rests on the frame, compared in the table above, not on the glass.

What is the shop front glass price per m²?

Each element has its own rate, supplied and installed before 15% VAT in Makkah: frameless shop front glass doors start from SAR 450/m², aluminium shop front windows from 325 and a curtain wall glass front from 470. Cladding around the glass starts from 180, and cities outside Makkah add 3% to 10%.

Is your shop or office already trading?

Then the work is planned around it before starting, not during: trading hours, customer access and protection of stock are reviewed first, and we agree whether parts of the job must run outside opening hours. Frequently asked questions

How much does shopfront cladding cost per square metre?

Shopfront cladding starts from SAR 180/m² supplied and installed, before VAT, in 4 mm ACP in standard colours, SAR 235/m² for laser-cut aluminium and SAR 250/m² for special colours or wood look, then varies with the sub-frame and facade height. The glass front and the door are priced separately.

Do you build complete shopfronts with every element?

Yes: the cladding, the glass front and the frameless glass door in one scope. The sign is usually made by a specialist, and this is agreed at the start so no gap appears in the scope at installation.

Should a shop owner contact the factory or a contractor?

You can contact Qusoor Al-Sultan directly. Send photos of the space, an early drawing or even rough measurements, and we review them and explain the next steps with no middleman.

Does a glass shopfront need full architectural drawings?

No. You can start with clear photos of the current front or the opening and approximate measurements; the remaining details are settled after review, or after a site visit if needed.

How thick is shop front glass, and what sets its thickness?

There is no single figure: the thickness of shop front glass follows the size of each panel and the project specification. Display glass is supplied as toughened (tempered) safety glass, and its type and thickness are fixed with the panel sizes before fabrication, because toughened glass cannot be cut afterwards. Frameless glass entrance doors in our price list are 19 mm.

How much does an aluminium shop front window cost?

An aluminium shop front window is priced at our aluminium window rates, supplied and installed before VAT in Makkah: SAR 325-370/m² in economy 1.3 mm for small and medium openings, 425-485 in standard 1.5 mm for larger ones and 520-740 in premium 1.8-2 mm. Fixed and sliding panes cost the same; frameless display glass is quoted on panel sizes.

Do you build shopfronts outside Makkah?

Yes, across Saudi Arabia. Fabrication stays in Makkah, so prices change only by transport and installation: 3% for Jeddah and Taif, 5% for Madinah, 8% for Riyadh and the Eastern Province, and 10% for other regions.
