Glass partitions for offices and interior spaces

A glass partition is an interior wall of tempered or laminated glass panels that divides an office or a hall without blocking the light. We supply and install it frameless or with an aluminium frame from our factory in Makkah. Start from how the space is used and the layout you need, then send drawings or photos with measurements.

Where are glass partitions used?

Glass partitions are used in offices and workspaces, meeting rooms, halls and open-plan areas, reception areas, internal entrances, and commercial and administrative spaces. Frameless tempered glass suits places that need a sense of space and more light; an aluminium frame suits places that need doors, cable routing and a layout that can change later. With a hinged or sliding glass door, the same partitions enclose glass cubicles and private offices on an open-plan floor.

What matters is deciding what you want to separate and how the space will be used after installation.

Office glass partition prices: what does each type cost per square metre?

Glass partitions cost SAR 135 to 698 per square metre, supplied and installed, before VAT, in Makkah. A frameless partition starts from SAR 135 with 8 mm tempered glass, and an aluminium-framed one from SAR 335. The figure rises with glass thickness, sandblasting for privacy and any door in the partition.

Sandblasting for privacy adds SAR 32/m². Doors — hinged, sliding or automatic — and their fittings, such as floor hinges, handles and locks, raise the figure; for glass entrance doors see frameless glass doors. Outside Makkah only transport and installation are added: Jeddah and Taif +3%, Madinah +5%, Riyadh and the Eastern Province +8%, and Abha, Tabuk and Qassim +10%. For partitions under 50 m², the indicative lead time is 10 to 14 working days from approved shop drawings to handover.

What are the different types of glass partition walls?

Glazed office partitions, also known as glass dividers, are made in tempered glass, with an aluminium frame or without one; the choice follows the level of privacy and the look you need:

Frameless temperedTempered panels fixed at the floor and ceiling onlySpaces that need a sense of size and more lightExact sizes — the glass cannot be cut after tempering

In aluminium office partitioning, the frame (aluminum in American specifications) is chosen to match the interior; it holds the glass firmly and protects its edges, which suits busy corridors and frequently used doors.

Modern glass partition design

The decision is not only about separating spaces. The divisions, how transparent the glass is, the finishes and how the partition meets the doors all shape the final look. Clear glass keeps the light, while sandblasted glass gives privacy for SAR 32/m². Frosted glass office partitions stay translucent, so a private office still gets daylight. Frameless fixing gives a continuous look; an aluminium frame is chosen in a profile and finish that match the space. The same idea works as custom glass room dividers between living halls and majlis rooms in villas and other homes, each made to the measured size. If the decision is about the glass itself, see tempered glass.

Are glass partitions soundproof?

A glass partition is not fully soundproof: it reduces sound transfer but does not insulate like a solid wall. The weak point is the joints, not the glass: air leaking through a small gap at the floor, ceiling or door carries more sound than the panel itself. So the acoustic privacy needed in meeting rooms is set before choosing the partition type and fixing.

Should a glass partition be full height or half height?

Choose full height when a room needs privacy or quieter meetings, and half height when it only needs a visible boundary. A full-height partition runs from the floor to the ceiling, the way frameless tempered panels are fixed, so no gap is left at the top for sound to pass over.

With a half-wall partition, the glass sits on a solid low wall, keeping desks and storage behind the lower part while daylight crosses the upper part. Where a partition stops short of the ceiling there is no top fixing, so the way it is held is reviewed on site before sizes are approved, since tempered glass cannot be cut after tempering. Pricing stays per square metre, from SAR 135 frameless or SAR 335 with an aluminium frame.

Sliding and folding glass partitions: can a partition open up?

Yes. A sliding glass partition is a fixed glass wall with a sliding glass door in it, so two spaces can be joined or closed without a leaf swinging into either room. Frameless and aluminium-framed partitions both take a sliding door, and the door type and its fittings raise the price per square metre.

It suits a living room that opens to the dining area, a meeting room off a busy corridor, or an office cabin where circulation space is tight. When the whole opening must clear, a glazed folding (accordion) aluminium door stacks its leaves at one side, from SAR 1,350/m² supplied and installed before VAT in Makkah; see sliding glass doors and bifolds.

Which glass room divider suits a bedroom, living room or drawing room?

Match the glass to the privacy each room needs. Frosted glass, sandblasted for SAR 32/m² more, keeps a bedroom private yet bright; clear glass lets a living room, hall or dining area share daylight. Each residential glass divider, in a house or a villa, is made to the measured size, and the opening method and circulation are reviewed before installation.

Frequently asked questions about glass partitions

What determines the design of an office glass partition?

The dimensions and height of the space, how the glass is divided, the privacy level, the glass type, the fixing method or frame, any doors in the partition, and the surrounding finishes. For privacy, sandblasting is added to the glass at SAR 32 per square metre.

Frameless or aluminium-framed glass partition: which should I choose?

A frameless partition gives a continuous glass wall that lets light through freely and makes the office look larger. An aluminium-framed partition holds each panel in a frame that protects its edges and makes it easier to add doors, route cables and change the layout later, which suits busy corridors.

What is a glass wall system, and is it the same as a glass partition?

Indoors, yes: a glass wall system is a partition of tempered or laminated glass panels, frameless or aluminium-framed, with hinged or sliding doors where needed. Prices start from SAR 135/m² frameless or SAR 335/m² framed, supplied and installed in Makkah before VAT. A glass wall that slides open onto a garden or terrace is a sliding glass wall.

Can a glass partition include a door?

Yes. The door can be a hinged glass door, a sliding door that saves circulation space, or an automatic door for reception areas, with fittings such as floor hinges, handles and a lock. The door type and its fittings raise the price per square metre.

If the office is already built, how do I start?

Send clear photos of the space and the measurements you have, with the number of partitions and any doors in scope. A site visit may help to review the fixing points before the final sizes are approved, because tempered glass cannot be cut after tempering.

How much does a frosted glass partition cost?

A frosted glass partition costs the clear-glass price plus SAR 32 per square metre for sandblasting, which makes the tempered glass translucent for privacy. Before that addition, a frameless partition starts from SAR 135 per square metre and an aluminium-framed one from SAR 335, supplied and installed in Makkah before VAT.

How thick is the glass in a glass partition?

Glass partitions use 8mm, 10mm or 12mm tempered (toughened) glass, or 13.52mm laminated glass. The price per square metre rises with thickness: a 10mm glass partition costs SAR 162 frameless or SAR 362 with an aluminium frame, and a 12mm toughened glass partition SAR 190 or SAR 390, supplied and installed in Makkah before VAT.

Do you supply and install glass partitions across Saudi Arabia?

Yes. Qusoor Al-Sultan is a glass partition supplier and installer working from its factory in Makkah, with projects across Saudi Arabia. The listed prices apply in Makkah; elsewhere only transport and installation are added, from 3% for Jeddah and Taif up to 10% for Abha, Tabuk and Qassim.

Are your glass partitions single or double glazed?

Single glazed. Each panel is a single pane of 8, 10 or 12 mm tempered glass, or 13.52 mm laminated (sandwich) glass, and a double-glazed partition is not on the published price list. For sound privacy the joints matter more than the number of panes, because a gap at the floor, ceiling or door leaks more sound than the glass.

Which glass can a partition have: clear, frosted, tinted or decorative?

Clear, frosted and laminated glass carry published prices. Clear tempered glass keeps the partition transparent, frosted glass is the same panel sandblasted for SAR 32 per square metre more, and 13.52 mm laminated glass starts from SAR 225 frameless. Tinted, fluted or mirror glass is not on the price list, so name it with your layout for review before pricing.

Do you install glass partitions in homes?

Yes. The same systems separate living halls and majlis rooms in villas while keeping natural light, and the opening method and circulation are reviewed before installation.
