Aluminium doors and windows made to measure in Makkah
Aluminium doors and windows at Qusoor Al-Sultan start with a review of your drawings and openings, are made to measure in our Makkah factory and end with installation on site, for homes and commercial projects across Saudi Arabia.
How are aluminium doors and windows made to measure?
They are made for each opening rather than taken from stock. We review the opening and the drawings, fix the specification in writing, cut and assemble the profiles in our factory in Makkah, and install them on site with mechanical fixing and a perimeter seal. Before fabrication, every opening is checked for:
- Size, location and use
- Opening type
- Drawings and window or door schedules
- Specification and glass requirements
- Colour and finish
Aluminium window and door fabrication in our Makkah factory, from drawings to installation
Whether your BOQ says aluminium, aluminum or simply alu doors and windows, the work is the same: alloy profiles are cut, machined, crimped and assembled to each opening's size, then fitted on site by our own installers. So instead of hiring aluminium door makers, window builders and installation contractors separately, you work with one aluminium door and window company from drawings to handover. When comparing aluminium window companies, ask each for the eight specification items below in writing. Glass requirements are reviewed with the system for every glazed door and window; see tempered glass for safety glazing.
Shop, workshop or factory for aluminium door and window frames?
A shop suits one window or door. Qusoor Al-Sultan makes the complete aluminium joinery of houses, villas and buildings, doors and windows together, in its factory in Wadi Jalil, Makkah, and installs it in Makkah, Jeddah and across Saudi Arabia. You can visit Sunday to Thursday 8:00–17:00 and Saturday 9:00–17:00.
Opening systems we make: sliding, casement, folding and all-glass
Sliding systems need no space in front of the opening and suit wide openings; casements seal tighter; folding systems open the full width. For every window type and grade, see aluminium windows; for patio and balcony openings, sliding glass doors. Entrance and interior models are under aluminium doors, wet areas under aluminium bathroom doors, and tempered all-glass entrances under frameless glass doors. Slimline windows and sliding doors are also supplied and installed, as are thermally broken aluminium systems for projects that specify a thermal break, with details and price set in the quote.
Where heat and noise matter, double glazing is chosen with the profile. Where you also need darkness and privacy, roller shutters fit outside the window, and their box position is fixed before plastering.
Which specification items should a door and window quote state?
Eight items: profile thickness, finish, glass type and thickness, hardware, seals and brushes, drainage, fixing and perimeter sealing, and protection shutters if wanted. Most of the price gap between two quotes comes from one or two of them, not from “quality” in general, so each one should be stated in writing. Doors and windows share the same powder-coated profile colours and factory finish, so black, white or champagne aluminium windows and doors can match across the whole job.
| Item | Why it matters | What to write |
|---|---|---|
| Profile thickness | Differs most between quotes and does not show in a photo | The thickness, in writing |
| Finish | Powder coat or Super Durable: colour stability and price differ | The coating and colour code |
| Glass type and thickness | Sets weight, safety and what the profile can take | Single, double or laminated, by location |
| Hardware | Wears first, and is the item most often downgraded | Brand and origin |
| Seals and brushes | Keep dust and noise out | Gasket type and track brushes |
| Drainage | Without slots, water stands in the bottom track | Drainage slots in the bottom track |
| Fixing and sealing | Leaks happen around a window more than through it | Mechanical fixing with a perimeter seal |
| Protection shutters | Change the profile and cannot be added later | Whether you want them, from the start |
Unsure? Send the opening size, location and use, and we will set it with you; costs are in our aluminium and glass prices.
How are aluminium doors and windows installed? From measuring to handover
Installation is the last stage of a sequence that starts before fabrication: the opening is measured after plastering, the specification is written item by item, each piece is made to size in our Makkah factory and checked, and the frame is fixed mechanically with a perimeter seal, then reviewed before handover. When installing aluminium windows in new construction, this order matters: the opening is measured only after plastering, and the frame is made to that size. The six steps:
- Measure after plastering Each opening is measured once plastering is finished, because a few centimetres change the profile and the fixing.
- Write the specification The eight specification items go into the quotation, so it stays close to final.
- Fabricate and check Profiles are cut and assembled for each opening in our Wadi Jalil factory and checked before they leave.
- Fix and seal the frame The frame is fixed mechanically, plumb and level, then sealed around its perimeter, where most leaks start.
- Fit and test the sashes Seals, brushes, drainage slots, rollers, handles and locks are checked one by one.
- Review before handover Operation, glass, profiles and conformity with the written specification are reviewed item by item.
How long do aluminium doors and windows take?
Indicatively, 12 to 16 working days for windows under 50 m² and 10 to 14 for doors under 30 m², counted from approved shop drawings to handover; larger areas take longer.

Questions about aluminium doors and windows
What decides the right type of door or window?
The opening size and use, the opening type, the glass and the finish. The grade then follows the profile thickness: 1.3, 1.5 or 1.8–2 mm.
Is the glass part of the door or window?
Yes. Glass is part of most doors and windows and is reviewed with the system. Double glazing is offered in the premium grade only, because the unit's thickness decides which profiles can take it.
How do I start a villa's doors and windows without complete drawings?
Start with photos or whatever you know about the openings, plus the city and project stage. Each opening's size, location and use is enough at first; we then set the specification with you.
Which items are cut first to lower a quote?
The hardware and the profile thickness. Rollers, handles and locks do not show in a photo but wear out first, and a thinner profile is cheaper but flexes in wide openings. Ask for both in writing.
What should I ask aluminium window companies before ordering?
Ask each for the same eight items in writing: profile thickness, finish, glass type and thickness, hardware, seals and brushes, drainage, fixing and perimeter sealing, and protection shutters if wanted. Then ask who measures after plastering, who fabricates and who installs: Qusoor Al-Sultan does all three, from its Makkah factory. Further checks on the company are in our quality standards.
Do you make slimline and thermal break aluminium doors and windows?
Yes, both by quote. Slimline windows and sliding doors have narrow frames for a sleek look, and thermal break systems put an insulating barrier between the outer and inner faces of the profile, so less heat crosses the frame. Neither is in our cost calculator, so the quote sets the system and the price; for comparison, windows start from SAR 325/m² and doors from 450.
What are the prices of aluminium doors and windows per m²?
Windows cost SAR 325–370/m² in economy, 425–485 in standard and 520–740 in premium; doors start from SAR 450/m². Prices are supply and installation, before VAT, in Makkah, plus 3% to 10% elsewhere. See our aluminium and glass prices.
